It's time for Week 5 of the Pro-Am, and Source fans are in for some awesome matches. I don't want to spoil the surprises, but if you've been anxiously awaiting some tense, high-level matches, your wait is over. It's going to be a very interesting week in all games, but Source, especially.
As a general note, if any of the teams listed here want to send me confirmed match times and/or SRCTV/HLTV information, I’d love to update that information as it comes in. This goes for all games and teams listed here. Feel free to PM me through the website or e-mail me at landodger@thecgs.com with the information, and I’ll keep updating the post as information comes in.
And with that, let’s get to the information!

What You Need to Know
There's one match that obviously sticks out from the rest this week: Los Angeles vs. New York. It's the first time this season that two CGS teams will face off, and it's almost a worst-case scenario for LA. They're facing one of the best Source teams from the season, and they haven't slowed down at all in the Pro-Am. The only positive for LA is that they're no longer in the middle of a 1.6 season, so they can get some hardcore Source practice without sacrificing their CEVO season. Still, it's going to be a very, very tough match, especially on a non-standard map like Season, one of New York's best maps during the CGS.
Dallas and Chicago also drew tough opponents. FEVER has been playing extremely well, and they could push Dallas to the brink in the same way Hyper pushed the Carolina Core. I expect Dallas to prevail, but FEVER will get their share of rounds.
The Chimera are in a similar situation. I don't know a ton about Vanskap, but I remember them being a surprising team during Newegg LANFest 2k7. They didn't place in the money, but I was very impressed with their play during the group stages, and it looks like they've been doing pretty well so far this season. They could sneak up on Chicago.
San Francisco has an interesting match against FragFacile. In a huge upset, FragFacile actually tied Complexity during the first CGS Combine. I still expect SF to win, and pretty handily, but I'm keeping one eye open to see if their opponent can pull off another stunning moment.
Other than that, Devastation and Dynamic are 1-2 in the Atlantic conference, so it's a small battle of the titans, there. 9Frame goes against eX, an experienced, talented team. That should be an interesting match; we'll see how 9Frame rebounds from the loss after their victory against Complexity.
Hyper finds themselves in a tough situation. They're 1-2 after dropping the match to Zomblerz, and even a 6-2 record might not be good enough to avoid a CGS team in the first round of the playoffs. They should pick up a win here, but they need it to be the start of a hot streak, not a lone wolf, so to speak.

What You Need to Know:
The most interesting match this week might be one that's yet to be played from Week 4: x3o vs. MoB Gaming. All the matchups this week should see big scores for the favored teams.
I do think there's a bit of an issue with the scheduling, though. It's weird that a team like FEVER can go 4-0 in Source and get scheduled against the Dallas Venom, while teams like x3o and MoB can recieve forfeit wins and then get scheduled against teams like project.sfx and Freaks of Legend. No offense to those teams, but it seems like x3o and MoB get to face easier teams because of their lack of games played. I'm sure it's not their fault and they're not intentionally not playing matches, but I don't like the idea that a team could be rewarded (via an easier schedule) for not playing matches, or, conversely, be penalized in some fashion for being on time.
I'm not sure there's a solution to this, but it certainly does mean there's a lack of exciting matchups this week as some of the top teams have one (or more) forfeits, pitting them against lesser-known opponents.

| XMensity (1 - 1) | Free Beer! (2 - 2) |
| 4Ever Gamers (3 - 1) | Bubbles (2 - 1) |
What You Need to Know:
Pandemic faces off against Sway Gaming, and that's the match I'm most interested in this week. Sway Gaming aren't pushovers, though I don't think they'll grab the win. Still, it's a premier matchup, and Sway Gaming is coming off a 5-0 win against Devastation earlier in the season. That's gotta be worth something.
Meanwhile, the Eximius train continues to roll onward. They're 4-0 and doing it in style. As an FPS fan, watching some of their demos from this season has been a treat.
XMensity was one of my teams to watch coming into the season, but they haven't been playing up to expectations thus far. They take on Free Beer! this week, and I'm honestly not sure what to make of that matchup. I'd like to think XMensity will come out on top, but it's hard to say right now.
I'm also hoping for an Eximius-Pandemic match in Week 6. That would be a must-see event considering not only their records this season, but how they've been winning. A fan can dream, right?

As always, good luck to all the teams!
